Regency is conscious of its potential environmental impact. The company maintains an outlook that encourages the fulfilment of environmental objectives. On an on-going basis, Regency Kitchens continues to assess environmental aspects and impacts, implementing required action, improvements and objectives.

Timber Procurement - Commitment to environmental practices.
Regency Kitchens acknowledges the impact of timber usage on the world's natural resources and actively seeks to source material from sustainable sources. The company supports and is committed to the environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable management of the world's forests by compliance to the requirements of the Forest Stewardship Council, FSC.*

As a result, Regency Kitchens only purchases timber and timber based products, which are sourced from certified sustainable sources that do not contribute to the destruction of the world's forests.

Waste Management - Integrated waste management system.
Regency Kitchens' commitment to the environment continues with the management of its waste packaging. Working to the principles of the EC Directive on Packaging and Packaging Waste 94/62/EC. Regency Kitchens is actively introducing recovery and recycling targets for packaging waste by encouraging minimisation and reuse of packaging.

Landfill - Regency Kitchens' self sufficiency reduces landfill waste.
Regency Kitchens operates an integrated waste extraction and boiler system. This system collects both dust and solid wood waste generated during wood panel processing, using the waste as a fuel source to generate MPHW at 120°C at a rate of 1 MW. This biomass fuel plan provides energy to heat the entire site and eliminates the site demand for natural gas entirely.
